Date Of Birth: November 17, 1955
Date Of Death: December 18, 2011

On Sunday, December 18, 2011 the kind and gentle soul that we knew as our lovely Brenda Lou Follis departed from this earth and moved on. She passed with grace, knowing that she was loved by many and resting peacefully at home with friends and family.
Brenda Lou Follis, 56, of Carmel, IN was born in Wichita, Kansas, on November 17, 1955, to Delmar and Dana Follis. She is survived by her father Delmar, siblings Dan, Judy, and Daren, and seven nieces and nephews.
She graduated from Carmel High School, and attended Indiana University and Manhattan Christian College, KS.
Brenda lived and worked in Kansas, Indiana, Arizona, California, Colorado, Michigan, and New York. She was an international flight attendant for Ambassadair, an account executive for Resorts Condominium International, and a corporate trainer for Phone Pro.
Brenda had an artistic nature and enjoyed home decorating, sewing, cooking, travel, skiing, and spending time with family. She lived a full and adventurous life that always involved travel both personally and professionally. She was fearless in the sense that she was always open to new experiences, to try new things, visit new destinations, meet new people, eat new foods and always came back with some sort of story to tell. Brenda was a wonderful sweet spirit with a kind, pure and gentle way about her.
Rest in Peace our dear Brenda—you are loved and will be missed by many!
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 8th at 1:30pm with services at 2:30pm, held at Harry W. Moore Funeral Care and Crematory, 8151 Allisonville Road, Indianapolis, IN 46250 (317) 849-6800. Please share memories, stories, and photos at www.harrywmoore.com , click on “Online Tributes.

I met Brenda over 20 years ago at RCI – we became friends & roomies, along with Deby Abel. Everything I would want to say, has already been beautifully put on paper in the IndyStar obituary. Nicely done (Deby & Judy?). I know this is a big loss to you and Brenda’s extended family. She was a treasure.

I was saddened to hear that Brenda had passed. I have lost touch with her over the years. I worked with Brenda at RCI with the S.T.A.R. Program. Brenda was a STAR herself. She was always willing to help, always had a smile on her face, she kept a calm cool composure in stressful situations and always had a positive attitude. My prayers go out to her family as she was a true joy and loving spirit. I’ll leave the family with this quote: “When someone you love becomes a memory…the memory becomes a treasure!!” Unknown I’m sure you will treasure the memories you have of her, I know I do! God Bless you and give you peace!!

My condolences to the family on the loss of such a beautiful and warm person. I met Brenda while at RCI and she was one of the kindest, funniest and warmest people you could ever meet. Brenda met no strangers and never made you feel like a stranger. Through mutual friends I’ve kept up with her and I’ve prayed for her. She will be missed by all who have been touched by her. God Bless
